About Us

The Center provided much more than “daycare” for my children. It has enriched my children's lives. It is without a doubt that I credit the Center with the success my oldest son is experiencing in the Elementary School. The Center provided an excellent foundation in education and gave my son the skills, support and behavior needed for him to progress and flourish. I truly believe that my children were not just safe and educated at the Center, but they have been loved. The teachers at the Center are the best! The Center has meant so much to our family. It has meant that my husband and I could both go to work with peace of mind that our children were being well taken care of. And to our children, the benefits to them cannot be measured. --Cynthia Darrell, parent

The East Hampton Day Care Learning Center provides a rich early learning experience to more than 100 children every day. With five classrooms staffed by lead teachers with degrees in early childhood development or a related field, and 1-3 assistants with many years of experience, our program offers young children the opportunity to explore their worlds, to be guided as they make new discoveries, to gain important early literacy skills that will help them as they progress through school, and helps them to forge bonds with other children, their teachers and the community.

The Center also provides pre-kindergarten education. This half-day program is offered at no charge to parents of children living in the East Hampton Union Free School District. Families from other districts are also welcomed for a modest fee. The Center also offers an extended day program for pre-k students, enabling them to stay in the classroom with their teachers for a full day.

The Center is opened year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 5:30PM, offering flexible schedules for working parents. Our tuition for families enrolled full-time is $250 per week. Financial assistance is available upon request.

East Hampton Day Care Learning Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the community. Our programs are funded in part by fees from parents, grants from the Town of East Hampton, East Hampton Union Free School District, and the many generous local businesses, individuals and foundations who contribute to our efforts.
